Eight Petals Nine Flowers 81 Gardens
In a world that is increasingly cruel and ugly, the overarching goal of the Eight Petals Nine Flowers 81 Gardens plan is to bring beauty, hope, and material support to as many people as possible.
Each Nine Flowers garden would provide housing, food, and income for 20 to 30 people, and provide food/clothing and aid to far more with the food and income produced by the gardens and various individual and group projects. We would use the income produced to build and fund various tiny home projects and mutual aid for the local communities.
20 to 30 people per garden once completely built, two to four people per flower
Each petal costs between 15k and 50k depending on the purpose of the petal.
The total cost is roughly equivalent to building apartment housing for the same number of people.
Once the gardens start to spring up people will want to help, I believe that people want to be good and to do good, so we can expect donations to help further build the project as long as our good works are obvious to the communities nearby.
8 Petals 9 Flowers
Each of the container homes is a "petal" 8 Petals make up a flower.
Petals are as follows
1. Housing x 4
2. Grow Boxes x 2
3. Work space x1
4. Storage x 1
Or
1. Housing x 2
2. Grow Boxes x 2
3. Storage x 1
4. Workspace x1
5. Public facing shop x1
6. Energy/ data storage/ media distribution x1
Or a combination of the two flower types, or whatever is needed to fit community needs.
All petals would be made to run on solar and reclaimed water, with the ability to hook in to traditional existing local utilities.
Each grow box will produce roughly the same amount of food as an acre of land for consumption or sale.
The space in between the petals around the flower could be used as yard space for supplementary gardens, or really whatever the community feels is necessary.
The ideal final outcome of the initiative is to eliminate hunger and homelessness in every town that we build a garden in, and eventually change what our friends, neighbors, and fellow citizens believe is possible.
